Become the Next SGA President
Due to the absence of an elected Student Government Association (SGA) President resulting from the 2024-2025 election process, it has become necessary to initiate an appointment process to fill this vital leadership role. The SGA Presidential Appointment Process is designed to ensure a structured, transparent, and equitable selection procedure in circumstances where a President is not determined through a general election, particularly in the case of an uncontested race.
This process is overseen by the Vice President of Human Resources or a designated alternative appointee. It begins with an open application period, allowing qualified and dedicated candidates to express their interest in serving as SGA President. Following the application phase, a rigorous two-part interview process will be conducted to assess each candidate’s leadership capabilities, vision for student advocacy, and commitment to ºÚÝ®ÊÓƵ’s mission.
A diverse and experienced appointment committee will oversee the final selection. This committee will be composed of key SGA leaders, prominent student leaders from various campus organizations, university administrators, and trusted advisors who will work collaboratively to evaluate candidates. The selection process will be guided by prayer, thoughtful discussion, and a shared commitment to appointing a President who embodies strong leadership, integrity, and a heart for serving the student body.
The SGA President plays a critical role in representing and advocating for students, fostering community, and implementing initiatives that enhance campus life. If you are passionate about servant leadership, dedicated to making a meaningful impact, and eager to contribute to the growth and development of ºÚÝ®ÊÓƵ, we strongly encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
Applications are now open! If you have a heart for leadership and a vision for positively shaping the student experience at Biola, we invite you to take this step and apply today.
