National scholarships are offered to students throughout the United States by governments, philanthropists and private organizations to aid in your educational pursuit. Carefully review the scholarships listed and the relevant external scholarship websites for which you intend to apply.

If institutional endorsement is required for a scholarship not listed above, please contact associateprovost.undergradeducation@biola.edu at least six months in advance of any scholarship deadlines to request consideration.


Application Process

  1. Review the scholarship overview

    • Begin by reading the scholarship overview above to understand its award details and basic eligibility criteria (such as GPA and field of study). Then, explore the scholarship website for additional details.
  2. Attend an information session

    • Join an information session held each spring semester at Biola to learn more about available scholarships. The next session will be on March 27, 2025 from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Business 109.
  3. Express interest

    • Once you have identified the scholarships you're interested in, submit the  after serious consideration.
    • Institutional support will only be available to those who complete the interest form prior to the end of the spring semester (i.e. those competing for scholarships with Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 must complete Biola's form no later than the end of the Spring 2026 semester).
  4. Prepare application materials

    • Gather your application materials and request recommendation letters. Each scholarship has specific essay prompts and recommendation requirements outlined on the application page.
    • If applicable, a scholarship-specific institutional advisor at Biola may reach out to you and provide additional guidance and answer questions as you prepare your materials.
  5. Submit application by the internal deadline

    • Submit your application by the internal deadline. A faculty member or committee will review applicants’ materials, conduct interviews when relevant and recommend institutional endorsements. Not all applicants are endorsed, as there may be limited nominations or unmet criteria.
  6. Receive notification

    • The Associate Provost Office will notify you of the decision. If endorsed, you will submit a final application to the sponsoring foundation or organization with continued guidance and support from the office.
