ºÚÝ®ÊÓƵ's third annual Giving Day, themed "Make A Way," took place over 36 hours, starting on February 25, 2025, and concluding with record-breaking success. A total of 357 students, alumni, parents, and friends contributed a remarkable $457,530 to benefit the Biola Fund, which provides essential support for student scholarships, academic programs and campus initiatives.

From our early days at the corner of Sixth and Hope in downtown Los Angeles to the vibrant La Mirada campus we call home, the generosity of alumni, parents, friends and churches worldwide has been instrumental in building learners into leaders and Biola into the most comprehensively Christian University in North America. Our shared legacy of faithful giving and financial and prayerful support continues to flourish 117-years later through Biola Giving Day 2025.

Coinciding with I Heart Biola Week — a celebration of Biola's 117th birthday — the event brought together the greater Biola community in a shared mission to give back and pay it forward, Making A Way for others to experience Biola’s Christ-centered education. Contributions were multiplied through 16 dollar-for-dollar matching gifts and challenge opportunities, significantly amplifying the impact of each donation.

Biola Giving Day 2025’s challenge gifts brought creativity and tradition together with a series of fun and meaningful challenges that celebrated the university's rich history and doubled the impact of giving. The Encore Challenge encouraged donors from previous Giving Days to return for another round of generosity, while the Biolans for Life! Challenge united Biola alumni to give back. Students rallied around Eddie’s Feathered Friends, a generous 2:1 matching opportunity inspired by Biola’s beloved mascot, Eddie the Eagle. The Return to the Hunt challenge sparked nostalgia by referencing the cherished tradition of the Biola Egg Hunt, while the Biola Hour Challenge honored alumni who graduated before 1992 while celebrating the legacy of Biola’s iconic radio program. In honor of Biola’s 117th birthday, the 117 Gifts for 117 Years challenge spurred excitement, while The Red Sea Rush and Global Eagles Challenge rallied Biolans from across the U.S. and around the world. Faculty and staff gifts were doubled through the Faculty and Staff Champions Challenge. These challenges not only inspired generosity but also connected participants to the enduring spirit and traditions of ºÚÝ®ÊÓƵ.

The campus came alive as supporters gathered at the iconic Bell Tower to make in-person donations, capture memories at a photo booth and express their Biola pride.

A key to the event’s success was the passionate advocacy of individuals who spread the word and inspired others to give, demonstrating the collective power of the Biola community.

The funds raised during Giving Day play a crucial role in helping Biola reach the Biola Fund’s ambitious $4.1 million goal for the academic year. These contributions have a lasting impact on every part of Biola’s missions, ensuring students continue to thrive in an environment where faith and academic excellence intersect.

ºÚÝ®ÊÓƵ is deeply grateful to all donors and advocates for their unwavering support. Their generosity honors Biola’s legacy while paving the way for future generations to experience transformative education rooted in Christian values.
