Today’s business landscape demands leaders to be nimble, proactive and adept at harnessing the latest technologies and tools. The Adaptive Master’s in Business Administration (Adaptive MBA) at the Crowell School of Business, launching Fall 2025, is designed to equip students with the agility needed to adapt to a rapidly evolving market.

With other MBA programs being out of sync with the reality of what the current marketplace requires, the ݮƵ Adaptive MBA program builds on a foundation of proven disciplines — finance, marketing and management — anchored in biblical principles, while also harnessing the power of the most novel and relevant business innovations and theories, equipping students to immediately use the skills they receive in today’s workplace.

“The Adaptive MBA will help our students in future proofing their careers while also elevating their Kingdom influence by harnessing AI, strengthening enduring human skills and empowering them to lead with purpose,” said Dr. Michael Arena, dean of the Crowell School of Business at ݮƵ.

The program features three key values aimed to help students be equipped to lead with confidence in an ever-evolving, fast-paced business environment — adaptability, enduring skills and Christian Kingdom influence. As stated in the name of the degree, the program is designed with adaptability in mind. To help students exercise leadership skills that can be used immediately, three-day intensive workshops focusing on topics such as agentic AI, Cryptocurrency and the future of work will be taught by business experts from renowned companies such as Starbucks, Nike and Amazon.

Students will graduate from the program not only with applicable skills, but enduring skills. The Adaptive MBA teaches emotional intelligence, social influence and critical thinking — all skills that will elevate the business standard. The program also aims to prepare students to lead with strong influence for good. Every class integrates biblical wisdom and wrestles deeply with the complexities of living for Christ in the workplace.

While earning their degree, every candidate in the program will develop a Kingdom Challenge Plan — a culmination of everything they learned in the program, while also serving as a comprehensive business plan that students can use to guide their career with a purpose-driven approach. By merging insights from their coursework, experiences and personal values, students will develop a business venture that uniquely reflects their God-given gifts and passions. Upon graduating, students walk away with a concrete strategy that combines their education, vision and mission, ready to leave a transformative imprint on the world.

The Adaptive MBA degree allows for students to customize their degree for their personal business and growth goals. The program offers skill badges in areas such as AI augmentation, business entertainment, and customer focused innovation to help students amplify their marketability and give them an edge in today’s competitive landscape. New badge opportunities will be offered every semester, supporting the ever-adaptability of the program.

“This program harnesses AI to help students declare their dream job, assess their current skills, and chart a personalized learning journey — unlocking their potential by leveraging Biola’s campus wide expertise,” said Arena.

Students in the program will also be individually paired with a Christian business mentor who will provide professional development and strategies to weave faith into whichever career the student is in or will enter. Those in the program will have access to the AI Venture Studio and Biola AI Lab housed in the Crowell School of Business, offering them premier access to AI resources, advanced technology and cutting-edge equipment. The Adaptive MBA program is offered both on Biola’s campus and in an asynchronous format through online classes, allowing for the most flexibility to fit into compact schedules.

The Adaptive MBA does not just prepare students for a job; it prepares them for a calling. With a mind for business and a heart for Christ, Biola Adaptive MBA graduates do not just lead — they inspire, innovate and transform the business world through a faith-driven approach.
