Karin Hamilton, Emily Evans and Kevin Fox were all honored for their non-fiction writing. Hamilton won first place for a non-fiction column 鈥淎ddress from Capitol Hill,鈥 and Evans and Fox earned a certificate of merit for their collaboration on the non-fiction article 鈥淗itting All the Right Notes.鈥

鈥淚 was absolutely shocked when I found out about the award,鈥 Hamilton said. 鈥淚t was so exciting to see Biola gain recognition among so many prominent schools, especially from an article with such a clear Christian perspective.鈥

In the cartoon category Jared Norby won first place for his cartoon 鈥淭he Change We Must Believe In.鈥

The photo on the magazine鈥檚 cover by Jeremiah Bonjean won second place in the category 鈥渁 black and white or black and white with one other color photograph.鈥
